We bought this 71, on New Years day
the owner, was going to have to leave it outside for the winter
We couldn't let that happen, so bought it home

born as a Slant six, small bolt, manual drum brakes, manual steering, heat only

No eng/trans, but lots of goodies in the trunk
Has all new front end parts, bbp disc, tires, dash and seats
Needs carpet, headliner,quarters repaired, paint
We have a AM/FM radio for it

Not sure what eng yet, going to look at a 408 tommorrow

looks solid ,any serious rust?

no, just the little bit at the quarters, each side.

We started out, just going to look at it cause we have a 72 vinyl top swinger,
that I made the mistake of, doing all the mechanical first, eng/trans, exhaust, etc first
When we pulled the top, to finish the build/paint. ALMOST had a heart attack
The swinger needs rust repair With the vinyl on, didn't look to bad

been sitting in the barn

If this 408 doesn't work out, we will pull, eng/trans, exhaust out of the swinger

We are not afraid of body work, Just I'd rather, put a whole top on it, instead of patches

Example: our car hauler

Welcome I have to ask is that a old jet turned into a garage?

wow nice build on the hauler and an ingenious repurposing of an old airplane

I'll keep you in mind, let me see, what I got to deal with first
I think the PO, said the one in the dash, is messed up, haven't looked yet

Well, the 408 deal fell. Couldn't get straight answers from the seller

Called him ,this morning, he said the eng is sold, AFTER, he told me, last night, to come look at it this morning...:banghead:

I really think, it was a 360/alum heads, cause, he really didn't want me to pull a head to check the stroke...other RED flags> just re-built:thumbdow:
10K eng:thumbdow:

If some one else wants it, I bet, It's STILL for sale, I just asked to many questions, to be sure it's what he SAID it was..:eek:ops:
