71 Disc rotors...what gives

What's the plate thing where the studs go through? My new rotors don't have this. Do I need to put this on the new rotors for a 71 Demon with stock 14" rallye wheels? Does that plate come off? I know, that's 3 dumb questions for the day and we're only allowed 2...

This what you're seeing is the hub. It has to be transferred to the new rotor, which won't work without the hub.
