What throw our bearing and clutch does this use ? all Napa has listed is for the a230 . I know the bells and cases are different but I don't know if the throw out bearings & the clutches are the same or different

The 230 might be the trans type should be easy to get clutch try Napa

I don't want one for a230 . What's what my post is about . I want a throw out bearing and a clutch for a903

They also do not have it listed only parts for a230 3 speed
As long as the disc splines match the input shaft splines and the diameter matches the flywheel, the transmission doesn't know what clutch is there. What size is in there now?

I don't know . I'm driving the car( not well ) . I shouldn't need to take it apart to find out right . You'd think I should be able to find the parts for slant 6 with a a903 as they made them forever. I can't put in a shops lift to take it all apart and leave it there for weeks why try and figure it out.

I'm literally asking the community this question because I don't know and no suppliers have it listed. Yours asking me the very question im asking everyone here.

Contact Brewer Performance. They will know.

The throw out bearing should be the same as any 23 spline 3 or 4 speed. As far as I know they only used 2, one for the 23 spline and one for the 18 spline input shafts.

See I didn't know that . Ur clutches are different diameters but still used same throw out bearings ? That seems weird lol . What do I know . I just need everything new ready to rock so it's on a lift for a day or two tops at this guys shop who is willing to help me fix this.

You need to measure the clutch that's in it now to see if it's a 9 1/4 or 10". Probably a 9 1/4 with a slant 6.

I can't unless on a lift and taken all apart. Once car is in a shop and on their lift isn't the time to start figuring out what's needed. I'll ask brewers .

Here's a little more information about your clutch. The bellhousing and flywheel are the same for the 903 and 230 transmissions. The pressure plates came in various diameters but they all had the same bolt hole diameters, so you could use any of them. The stock pressure plate for that year was 9 1/4 but a larger heavy duty one was optional. When ordering the throwout bearing make sure you get the assembly not just the bearing.

The bolt pattern on the flywheel is the same for the /6 cars. You can use any clutch and pressure plate, including the 10" scalloped clutch for the /6 trucks or the 67 down 273s.

The A-903 was the std. light-duty 3spd., it probably came with a 9.25" disc, the other trans could be had with 9.5" & 10". There were 9.125" plate assys. in early-As.
As stated, Your flywheel will accept the "HD" clutch, and the throwout brg. would be the same. There are HP units out there from McLeod or Ram I believe, as well as Al-U-minimum flywheels, if You were inclined to go there.
For those pondering which gearbox they've got..
