That looked like fun!

Manual or auto?

I do think that is a manual. Check the video again and listen/look closely as you can hear and see the car move as he row's the boat.
(Goes through the gears.)

Nice..now get it to the track for some real numbers:D:D

Here are some pics of the build up if anyones interested..

Stock bore?
Pretty impressive, you're pushing well over 400hp at the crank.
This is range I'm wanting to be, my cylinder heads are a big limiting factor (soon to be changed)

Bore is 30 thou over stock. Just installed a msd soft touch rev limiter, set it to 6200 was hitting 6500 way to quickly. I also installed a 1 inch carb spacer and some minor jetting tweaks ended up with 364 rwhp. What would this roughly equate to engine hp?

Those are some great gains for tweaking. With jetting and carb spacer changes maybe try playing with timing a little, you might even pull an extra 5/8 horses outta it.

Engine wise? With a manual trans I'd be comfortable saying you're in the mid 400's. Would have to know a couple more things to peg it down exact. I'd be interested in your torque. I bet you're getting close to 500 with a 360. They are torque beasts, that's what will really move that car from light to light. Hit the street and put that car on a "ricer" diet hahaha.

It made 403nm at the wheels. Not sure if thats good or not.It definetly gets up and goes its a 4 speed with 3.7 gears, lights em up from 1st to 3rd lol. Im planning on running it at some stage this year, id be rapped with a mid 12

I doubt it. Not with a manual transmission. Manuals sap out a lot less power from the engine than automatics.

Very nice numbers from the wheels though. Nice lookin car, too.

Are you 100% sure the torque was measured in newton meters? I ask because 403nm converts only to 297 lb ft.

If the manual trans (& or the whole drive train) eats 25% of the power, then you have roughly 485/490 crank HP when the wheel dyno says 364 wheel HP.

What intake and what headers are those?

My build is very similar to yours but i'm running a bigger cam and carb..best so far 11.78:D:D

Intake is an old school weiand thats been match ported to heads. The headers are custom made 1 7/8 in stainless steel

Nice! I originally ordered the xe 285 cam but it wouldnt have arrived in time for us to have car back together before christmas so we settled on the xe284 which was in stock.

I think that's possible to run 12's.

My 318 in my charger dynoed at 351 hp @ wheels on a dyno dyamics which is what yours appeared to be. I weight 3525 lbs ready to race with a 727 and a 9" and have run mids 12's @ 112 mph.
Dyno calcd my flywheel power at 430 hp given drivetrain drag. Wallace racing calc puts me at 405 hp.

Given that I would say your around 430-440 hp at the flywheel and in a perfect world a high 11 is possible. Might be hard with the manual though
