71 duster front end help

Height, caster and camber all can change tie rod length relationships. If those are off significantly, tie rod length will seem off.

I thought of this after I went to bed. Maybe I should get back to my usual "read the factory manual"

There's a good reason why toe and wheel center is set LAST in an alignment.
 
Yes thanks for all the help in the end i spoke to my mechanic buddy today just back form holidays who informs me that the differences are due to going from old to new. The alignment will clear up this mess.
 
I had a problem like this. Turned out the aftermarket pitman arm had no master spline and could be clocked anywhere. Made a 'one tooth' correction and bingo, tie rod ends had equal thread exposure.
