It was suggested that I start a build thread so here goes...

Piched this mess up a couple of weeks ago. Got a new distributor on the way to to make some noise. Have a new complete wiring harness too.

This weekend I'll try to get her to fire and fix the broken door striker...if anyone has any tips on that please lay it on me. Thanks

Looks pretty much how I picked up my 73 no but you did get a free 5 gal bucket

I make a plate and weld it in to repair the strike area tis a weak point on these cars

I saw that first article on doing the striker. I'll give that route a shot this weekend.

Valves were so out of wack I don't know how it started in the first place. Flopping around about a quarter inch but still started. The vid is after the adjustment.

No big update but my daughter came out and offered to help scrub off the years of tree sap to start body work. She even said she likes the color after we got her cleaned up....lol
