71 scamp... how do you get the very back vynal top trim off????????????????

i am stuck trying to get the very back vynel top trim peice off. it is the one neaerest the trunk. is there some type of special tool for this one peice? i got all off perfectly, but cannot get this one

you'll have to undo the nuts from the bottom side...

I got my car with the trim already removed and all of the little thingies that hold the trim in place are gone. Could you post a couple of pix of them once you have your off so I can see what I am supposed to be looking for? Thanks dude. L8r

Both my 68 and 73 have nail head studs welded to the body. Then the stainless has plastic fasteners inside it with keyholes for the nail heads. Push the plastic left or right to release.

No nail heads on mine, but there are a bunch of holes where the trim goes.
