Can someone tell me what these items are on a 72 Demon? Options are air conditioning, California emissions, slant 6 auto. The firewall item over the blower motor im sure is some kind of rheostat. did they come on non air cars?? and the item tied into the speedo cable I have no clue.

Something to do with economy or emissions or both. Turned on a warning lamp or shift lamp under certain conditions ? Might have been the hi beam lamp would start blinking ? I forget.
It was covered in previous threads. I wouldn't know how to find them.

The 2nd pic is an emissions speed switch. You can eliminate it if you want...

I just pulled all emissions carp off my 71 dart. The second pick is a throttle semsor. It would flash bpth turn signals at non economic throttle positions. (mine never worked but thats what I think its signal was?)
If you trace its wires mine went to the box mounted on the passanger side fire wall.

Heres that octopus all removed....

Great, so the speed switch I can eliminate. The funny part is the 6 cyl and "speed switch"! Trying to get an air conditioned, power steered, smog pumped, six powered car to hit the speed limit would be a chore. A downhill prospect only! Anyone have a guess on the other firewall item attached to the cowl?????

Now that you mention it, my 72 does not have electronic ignition! must have been yanked sometime in the past, or wasn't equipped with it. the original wiring harness didn't appear to have any of the connections

oops wrong pick...

here is the throttle position box.

Throttle position sensor still atached to firewall.
