Hello,
I have a valiant with vinly roof. The c pillars, and spots on the roof are showing evidence of bubbling under the vinyl, as well as some corrosion around both front and rear windshields.
Windows have to come out, vinyl come off, any thoughts as to how horrible it will be to repair the sheet metal?

very common problem - depends on how bad the rust is!

Do you have a Valiant 4 door or Valiant Scamp 2 door? Guess it doesn't really matter. Best way to remidy this is to change out the roof skin. In the long run it's easier than chasing holes and burning through thin, rusty metal. Just involves finding a donor roof and drilling many, many spot welds.

With the vinyl removed, will the spot welds become relatively evident?
I never considered skin replacement as possible.
Car is a four door. I may find a donor on craiglist.
