727 behind 5.7

Anyone have a 727 behind there 5.7????? if so what is needed to convert from 4 speed to 727?????? Thanks Steve

Putting a 727 behind a 5.7L Hemi is a slam dunk.

There is an offset difference though, you'll need a spacer and a different flex plate.

XV motorsports and a number of other suppliers have the appropriate flexplate and shim.

Some guys claim you don't need the shim depending on the MY of the trans case.

I'm going to find out fairly shortly if I'm one of them.

I bought the flex plate and spacer from XV. You also need a neutral balance converter to run the 727.

to grind the bushing out of the back of the crank for the torqueconverter to mate correctly... see my thread post #49

also I did just the flexplate, no spacer, (got it from mancini) it doesnt run yet, but seems ok.
