I now have a new 360 and 727 in my Barracuda. Does anyone know if linkage exists to hook this transmission up to the stock floor shifter? It was hooked up to a 904. I'd like to keep the interior stock. Thanks.

why doesn't your stuff work?
Well, I once put a 727 with a 500" where a 904 and 318" had been in a '65 Coronet 500 with the floor console and it didn't hook up. A transmission shop wound up doing it (I thought it would be a day, it was 6 weeks and 5 days, and I despise them) and they changed part of the tranmission to do it, so I figured this car wouldn't hook up right either. Thanks for anybody's help.

You have run afoul of the dreaded one year only ('65) cable shift. The transmission you now have is set up for mechanical shift linkage. To hook up your cable shifter you will need to get a pushbutton transmission or swap the shift mechanism from a pushbutton automatic to your transmission. That is what took the transmission shop so long. Those aren't easy to find. Easiest solution is to find a '66 up shifter and console or an aftermarket floor shifter. If you do not have a console a B&M Starshifter looks a lot like the stocker. Hope this helps.
