hey guys

I just got the 360/727 into the duster and it does exactly what it should do
I am using a lokar kickdown cable

my only question is, under WOT the car shifts at about 4K
is there a simple way to up that a bit ?

Change the governor to the hemi /six PAC one

mhh, not sure if that still counts as simple to me
(still a newbie I guess)

Yank the lever down one notch, lol.Thats the simplest. If that dont work,it gets complicated.

you mean drive it in 1st, rather then D?
I might have to try that

but I was hoping there was an adjustment I could make by shortening or enlarging the kickdown linkage

Where are you in Michigan. I know a good trans guy in Livonia.

just outside of Grand Rapids (2.5 hours west) , but all over once I get the oil leak fixed ;)

Oops, I kinda assumed you had already adjusted the KD as far as it would go.
The KD can only do so much. The throttle pressure it affects is constantly battling the governor pressure for supremacy.Sooner or later the governor pressure wins.
The usual fix(after the KD is maxed out), is to reduce gov. pressure. This means the tranny tailhouse has to come off and a lighter gov. weight goes in. Then the KD is retuned.
The gov needs to be matched to the rear gear ratio/tire size. So if you have changed to a performance gear ratio out back, a change in gov weights is often required.
But before you get into it, see if there is more adjustment left in the KD system that the cable is not giving you.
