727 tranny fluid

so I have an empty 727 hooked to a 440, I put 2 qt in the converter, how many to I need for the transmission. and do I need to put some sort of trick shift in it, or not?

If the transmission is truly empty (like after a rebuild) the capacity is around 10 qts plus or minus depending on how big your converter is. Shift kit or not depends on what use you plan to put to the transmission. Firmer shifts are usually desireable on a performance car but maybe not on a cruiser.

No,you do not need an additive.

Some run type f for harder shifts and you can even use john deere tractor hydraulic. Not as slick as dexron.
