I see this on 727 parts 1962-1970........1971-UP ? So what changed between 1970 and 1971-up ?
It does show parts differences in early to late transmissions.Don't go watching that video and come away thinking you learned anything. Too much incorrect info. That guy is no 727 pro whatsoever.
pre '65 , 727's have 2 pumps . The bonus is that you can push start themMy 727 is a push button in a 62 ply fury. Does anyone know anything about 62's having a rear pump. I've heard of that, but never seen one apart. Is it a big deal ??
I pop started my 62 all the time.pre '65 , 727's have 2 pumps . The bonus is that you can push start them
I was just under my 62Fury wagon (first time under the car as I just bought it). I knew it would have the Ball&Trunion setup with the cable shift/and park cable unit. But was surprised to see the small speedometer cable housing connection. I was expecting to see the larger adjustable speedo housing (that kind of sucks!)...Bye the way love the pictures of your 62 Dodge !!
I knew it's possible but did it have to be in 3rd or does 1st work? Early powerglides had 2 pumps also and could be pushstarted
67 -70 are alright. They have the narrow bushing in the front drum. 71 up has the wider bushing in the front drum. Basically the same as u can upgrade any of them. Kimso so what year would be the best to rebuild if you have a choice of cores? 65 and up or 71 up
