1972 Plymouth Duster 440
Hey guys, I have a newly rebuilt 727 automatic transmission with a shift kit installed in it with a stock column shifter. I was hoping to convert it to a floor shifter with a Hurst Quarter Stick Shifter.
I had two questions about this:
1) I have only seen guys run this kind of shifter on a full manual valve body transmission. Can I run a shifter like this (See below for links to shifters) on my "stock" 727 transmission?
2) I see two different types of shifters. One is a "Foward Pattern" and the other is a "Reverse Pattern". Do I have the option of running a "Reverse Pattern" or a "Foward Pattern"? What is the difference, and could I run either on them?
Here are the shifters I am considering:
Foward - https://www.summitracing.com/parts/huu-3160009/overview/
Reverse - https://www.summitracing.com/parts/huu-3160014/overview/
Also, this is for my 1972 Plymouth Duster with a 440 big block.
Thanks!
