Forgive my ignorance, but will that fit the 8 3'4 in my stock 1970 Swinger 340?

Well that depends. Yours could be a 10 spline or a 29 spline. Without removing the nut you can’t tell. Second they made two different u joint sizes. 7290 large and 7260 small u joint. You would have to measure width of the joint you have now to tell.

Small pinion nut is a 10 spline, 1 1/8" across hex.
The larger nut is 29 spline.
