just have a few questions, i searched this topic and came up with not much.

i have heard a few things about this conversion but i wanna know more.

currently in my car is a 73 318, and the head gasket is gone ( im pretty sure)
the oil has gone milky and it reads 3 to 4 inches above the full line on the dipstick.

my choices here are to replace the head gasket on the 318 or pick up a running 360 which i have a line on for 350$

the 360 came out of a 1978 Cordoba, and want to know what i have to do to swapthese 2 engines, i have a 727 auto tranny, i have been told i need a different torque converter, is it worth pulling the engine or just replacing a head gasket? opinions?

the 360 will use a different motor mount bracket on the driver side....but the 318 bracket can be used if you shim it with washers...

ok....here is the most important thing on the 360...they are externally balanced....you must use the harmonic balancer from the 360....

also....this is a either or....either the 360 converter will have weights on it for externally balanced...OR....you can use a non weight converter with a B&M exteranlly flexplate.. so either the converter has to have the weight or the flexplate....not both....but one of them must.

what transmission does your dart have in it now?

904 and 727 converters will not interchange...
