73 dart 4dr at Chesterfield Auto Parts on Midlothian Tnpk in South Richmond, VA. Late model yard so surprised to find it listed on their site. I've already taken everything I wanted from it, they crush in 30 days and its been there since 1/7.

I'm not affiliated with the yard at all. I can't pull anything for you due to my schedule but they will pull for a fee.

/6 with auto. Assuming its 225 but didn't verify. Don't know what trans is in it. But both are all there. Yard quoted me $400 for them together. Power discs, the calipers are still there. I raided the interior already but there are still a few bits left. Bumpers looked pretty straight but really pitted and groady. I might be able to answer questions about it.

I don't think there was any size of slant six other than 225 after 1970.
That dash panel pad! They do NOT stay that nice for that long in the West or the South. The heat and low humidity just bakes them. Your car bodies rot out, ours have solid bodies but have thrashed interiors.

Dash pad has cracks at each corner. I thought it was mint at first myself. But for a race car it'd probably be fine.

Them large ball joint upper control arms, the calipers and spindles are worth something. Caliper brackets are the same as FMJ body, but if you can get it all cheap, I'd get it. If it's got swaybar tabbed LCAs those are worth something too.

Sure...But was it original?
I had a '72 Duster that was a 198 with a 230 3 speed standard on the floor. (All original)
The 198 replaced the 170 starting in the 1970 model year.
I have seen several 198 cars over the years, and all were '70 and up.
They were usually plain jane stripper cars.............

The Factory A/C may be a giveaway that the junkyard Dart is a 225 /6. Not to say they weren’t available, but I’ve never seen a 198 with factory A/C.

Yep. I don't remember the specifics (it's been 12 years), but it had the right numbers. Probably had the emission sticker that showed the cubes, too. I didn't think they still made it in '74 either. I drove it very little before taking it and the rest of the driveline out, but I'll bet with the emissions BS on it, it was a real turd.

198 Talk about a real turd that can't get out of its own way
True, but the connecting rods had value to turbo slant guys before the aftermarket came out with them. I think the rod length/stroke ratio was what was good about them.
