73 Dart Upgraded Tie Rods

All,

I finishing up my QA1 control arm and strut rod upgrades. I was also interested in upgrading the ties rods. I read over the article and it indicates tha a 1974 and up tie rod setup is used. Does any one have a good part number(s) for the assembly needed to swap out the stockers? Are the ends only replaced? I see that there is a QA1/UMI Sleeve. Is it more practical to swap out this than the ends?

For my 65 Dart upgraded front end I used the solid sleeves and C Body tie rod ends

Which solid sleeve did you use? QA1? For what make and model? The C body end is 74 and up correct? Fury, Imperial, Newport.

I don’t recall who made the sleeve. It’s aluminum and takes the 11/16 tie rods

Thanks! I picked up some qa1 sleeves and some pro form tie rods from Summit along with the lower control arms and strut rods all qa1 also.

Lately thinking about and up coming project, I've been considering solid adjusting sleeves. Although not that expensive, but an extra I might as well....$60/70, the current going rate for these new parts, I'm wondering if a few well placed tack welds down the center of some stock sleeve's would be beneficial.
