73 Duster scoop

Can someone tell me if this scoop was functional on a 73 Duster , was there two holes for fresh air from the factory , or were they just for show ?

I dont have a pic of the underside of the hood to show you but there should be two round holes towards the back and they are about 2 1/2 to 3 inches apart and they are 4 inches round with a foam type ring around each hole. The holes sit side by side a few inches forward of the back mounting screw holes. You are in the right place. Before the nights end someone is gonna post a pic and I am sure someone has a diagram of the exact location/size for the holes. Good Luck!!

Here is a pic showing the 2 holes on the underside, although it's on a '70 Dart.

That scoop was never available on a 1973 Duster. On the Demon and Dart Sport, there were 2 functional holes for air to vent through.
