Hi guys Im starting the proces of bringing back my 73 duster. Im looking to paint it Mist Green 2515. I have seen paintscratch.com selling for 600 a gallon?! Is there other options to find paint for our A bodies? Currently it has a backyard neon green spray job that is bad.

Tks.

Just a heads up for you: Good paint isn't cheap and cheap paint isn't good. Keep that in mind while searching for whatever paint you settle on.

Pretty much any automotive body shop supply can mix you what you need. They may have a few different brands and prices.

Looks like you're in NJ. There should be no problem finding a professional paint shop or an auto parts store that sells paint to mix it for you.
Used to be you'd find professional paint services at some NAPA and CarQuests, now that CQ has been "absorbed," I'm not sure whether AdvanceAuto took that over.

If you can't find anyone, or you don't know whom to trust, go to Staten Island Auto Color on the corner of Jewett and Post Avenue. That guy can mix anything by eye, and he's dead-on and won't stop 'till it's right.

It's reasonable to bring every aftermarket paint code you can find with you, just in case one is helpful, but they've changed the paint formulas so many times over the past fifty years, they're pretty much useless to modern paint guys.

You should bring an undamaged, protected original part for matching, if at all possible (inside of a glove compartment lid, rear door hinge cover, etc.), but if not, he can probably work from something on line, but it might not really be the same as the original color.
