'73 Swinger -fuel injection - turbos and tires OH MY!

Well.... Crap.

Luckily I caught it quick.. still had 60psi oil pressure too.
Found small bits of pitting from detonation on the heads and pistons too.

Got the crank fixed, nice .070 cometic head gaskets and some 1 7/8 tti headers.

All done just in time to sit at home... I guess I'll have to quarantune.. har har.

I decided to get a wideband for the car. I tell you what. I should have bought one of these years ago. Apparently this sucker has been running real lean.
I've been tuning the last couple of days. Now my trans isn't so happy shifting from 2-3.. the flare up has progressively gotten worse with the tuning. Fluid didn't look too bad but there was a little bit of flake in the trans pan, by flake I mean like aluminum flake.
Might be time to invest in a trans that can take the abuse of 500+hp.

*Aussie Voice* here we have the elusive dart. Slowly stalking it's prey. When ready to attack the dart will emit clouds of white smoke.

I was politely told to slow it down... all the tuning paid off.. best runs were 11.3@118 (7.20ish 1/8). Did a little more tuning and ran 7.1s letting off a bit after the 660 and still running 12.0-12.1@80mph (lol) and all at 7,000+ DA...
that being said... roll bar inbound.

Should be ready to rip at sea level.
Rollbar, harnesses, driveshaft loop. Even have a trans blanket. Swapped out the OLD analog msd 6al for a newer digital 6. Nice having a built in start retard, the stand alone msd start retard would randomly drop timing and pop through the exhaust.

So, is it on e85 and tuned up well enough to do a full throttle run?

Yea. .76 lambda at wot.. I did have to tweak the jets a bit. It was too fat out of the box. But some basic tuning. So far so good.

Might lean it out a bit more. But it seems smooth so might leave it till the track opens and then tweak some more.

Love the license tag, but when you said they were asking you to slow down. Deathtrap came to mind, only out of respect for the bad little dart you have created!!! Maybe a small sticker on the rear trunk lid.

Not a 2 year update this time. But I have swapped over to EFi. Built my own system using a ms3 based ecu.
Magnum distributor as a cam sensor and a hall effect reading a 36-1 wheel attached to the balancer.
Edelbrock victor EFI
Edelbrock 4150 throttle body
holley high z 120lb/hr injectors
twin 340lph pumps in the fuel cell
and lots of wiring... But it's nifty.

I also built a Pi4 based display for my dash.. Still messing with it, but it's setup with gps speed and all the basic stuff I need to watch.

Now with EFI you REALLY need an intercooler.
That dash looks awesome.
I agree. There's almost no room without hacking the piss out of the latch assembly for an A2A.. A2w kinda in the same boat without changing everything. I've been looking for something that I can make work, I did find a cxracing a2a for a foxbody that might fit without too much crazyness. 26"x13"x3.5" Aluminum Intercooler + Brackets For 79-93 Fox Body Mustang V8
For now the boost juice is gonna have to do, probably will add another nozzle though, Used 380lb/hr of fuel at 10psi, so a single 625 nozzle i don't think will cut it. I'm honestly trying to figure out a way to setup an intake tube to the turbo that sits up inside my sixpack scoop. It will look goofy as hell, but should help tremendously with initial air temp.

Get rid of the boost juice and spray straight methanol.

Yeah, i'll probably go that route when the weather starts getting to 100+ outside. Unless I can figure out an intercooler that will fit. I like a2w, but the a2a is less weight and less stuff. If I can get one to fit with just trimming some stuff then I'm ok with it. Or I just get annoyed and rip everything out and build a tube front. LOL
