74 Dodge Dart Swinger

Thanks guys, the car is a blast to drive. The next project is to fix the seats. Then my son and I are going to install some Engine Quest Magnum heads with 2.02 valves, a Comp cam, airgap intake and a nice 4bbl carb. The car looks fast, but my wife's Hyundai can out run her.:angry5:

The gauge panel can be found on ebay at Matts custom bowties.

Hi guys,

It's been awhile since I last posted on the Dart, so here is an update. I bought a reman engine from MABCO engines in Texas. When my son and I were at the last Fall Fling here in SoCal, I spotted some R/T iron heads for cheap. Since the heads were so cheap, I decided to try some home porting. I read an article by Mopar Muscle on the R/T heads and how to port them. I think they came out ok. So a long story short, my son and I installed it in the Dart. I know I will get some grief for this, but my son really wanted an aggressive cam. This build was to be on the cheap. I had some old LA cams in the garage. I installed the MP 284/484 cam in the Magnum. My son and I will install a roller next year. After some grief from the $40 dollar headers I bought, we decided to buy a complete TTI exhaust system for the car. I'll try to upload a video soon.

I like it-I'm here to tell you, even a stock magnum 318 with that dual plane RPM type intake will motivate that car pretty well. I've never timed it or anything, but I know it'll move way better than before.

The Dart was getting progressively worse in the stopping department. Steven and I started to look for a cheap brake upgrade on the Dart. Found a thread on here and followed 69Mope's recipe.

We next removed the old disc.

We packed the inner and outer bearings full of grease and installed the inner seal. I would have showed the packed bearings, but our hands were too greasy!!! LOL
