I got my 74 Gold Duster home today. I am confused as to what to do with this car. I've looked the car over and the back and front of the car are almost rust free so it does not need a trunk floor or quarter panels. I have not been completely under the car yet but I am certain that the frame rails are good and I am fairly certain the floor boards are too. No visible rust under the hood either. Now the bad part, the car had a front half vinyl roof. The roof is rusted out completely above both A-pillars (rear ward of the windshield about 8 inches) and down the pillar to the cowl. The drivers door falls an inch when opened due to rust. The post area has separated from the floor and firewall. I am wondering how difficult a fix this is going to be or should I part the car out. Is this common on A-bodies? Of all the cars I have seen, I've never seen this kind of damage on a car that is so solid. Gregg
