I have a 741 that has a 10 spline pinion in it. If i order a new ring and pinion that is a 29 spline will it fit in the case? I am pretty sure the answer is yes but i would rather double check first. I know i will need to replace the yoke. I am hoping that the 741 that i am about to pull out of my demon will have a 29 spline yoke on it that i can use.

Based on my experience ALL "741" gear sets interchange regardless of pinion spline count.

The 741 gear sets fit the 741 case and only the 741 case. The ring gears are all 8-3/4" diameter for all three cases. It's the pinion diameter that was different. The 741 had the smaller 1-3/8" pinion.

Yes. You'll need gears for a "741" specifically.
