76 dart inner fender well

Hi, I have a 76 dart sport that I had a shop do the body work and paint on the car. I am in the process of putting it back together and I am stumped on what panels go at the back of the inner fender to close it off as presently I gave a 4" gap all the way up to the hood hinges. can't be like that from factory as it would fill with mud and snow. Any pics would be helpful before going back to the shop.
