Hi , I was swapping my 225 for a 360 and i was wondering what 360 would best fit the duster? Also what is the best trans choice for the 360? 727?

The 360 is a small block and the only different items on a 360 that would slow down a swap wold be the oil pan, a truck pan has a rear sump, you need a center sump.
All small blocks are the same dimentions externaly minus the different exhaust manifolds.
A 727 holds more power but also uses more power to run.
A 904 is capable of high horse power if built right, which leads me to say, make sure the tranny, which ever one you use, is built well.

You will need new engine mounts going from a 6 cylinder to a v8.
You use to have to swap out the k member but now there are new conversion engine mounts(brackets) available.
Schumacher creative services sells the mounts you will need.

I have a updated "K" member found from an early 70's duster for the v8. Just wondering what i will need for the engine mounts with the k member?
Sounds like you just need the engine mounts. A bolt to secure it in the K frame.
