Im trying to hook up vaccume advance and not sure where to hook up hose it looks like a port on front and back of carb, is either ok?

If you want ported vacuum then the small port high/pass side on the primary metering block is the one you want. If you want full manifold vacuum then a similar small port on the baseplate will work. The large ports are for the PCV and power brake booster if needed.
