I’m putting together an 8 ¾ center section using the 489 case. I have a 35 spline spool with new carrier bearings and will install any gear ratio that you want up to a 4.86 ratio (not the pro-gear) using new inner and outer pinion bearings and races and a new Ratech #6102 front seal. I’d like to get $500 for the center section when fully assembled, plus shipping. Unfortunately, the only pinion yoke that I have is the smaller 7260 series unit. I do have a 10-spline Mark Williams billet yoke #39016 that uses the 1350 series U-joint that can be used. I would like to get $100 extra for that if installed. As an option, I can also install the crush collar spacer for whatever it costs to buy. I already have the 489 case cleaned and painted along with the new carrier bearings pressed onto the spool.

Good deal for some one! If it were not for my car being street driven some I would jump on it! Don't think my tire would last to long in the turns. LOL

Might also be a bit tough when it's wet outside going around some turns.

I've never had a problem with a spool on the street and tire wear. (some) tires will squeal around a slow, sharp turn, some don't. When I put the 4.30's into my Barracuda to replace the SG 4.86's, it will have a spool. Heck, even my '69 CJ-5 is spooled, and I put a few hundred miles on it in the last couple days. They aren't for everyone, but they always work.

Met Jarrod aka Muddog last night to get things going on the assembly. He is definitely what FABO is all about. Great guy. Now I have work to do.
