8 3/4 for 68 Dart

I was planning on getting a moser 8 3/4" rear axle for my 68 Dart 4 door. However, the 8 1/4" axle under it currently only has 2 1/2" of space from the gas tank. Since 8 3/4" axles are much bigger, I was wondering if the 8 3/4" would still fit with out rubbing/ hitting the gas tank. I was also wondering if there is a difference in gas tank location between 4 door darts and high performance darts such as the GTS and GT models. Thanks!

8 3/4's came in 68 Darts and as far as I know there was only 1 gas tank available. Unless someone switched tanks, it should fit.

It's not that much bigger. Plus, the size difference really goes more towards the front of the car anyway. No worries about the gas tank. It will fit fine.

Ok, thank all of you guys for the responses, I knew that that Darts came with them, I just wanted to make sure that sedans, didn't have a different tank than the two door cars. I didn't think they did, but I just wanted to be sure.
