8.75 axle removal help

do i need to disassemble the brake assembly to remove the axles or can i leave the attached to the backing plate thanks

No need to disassemble anything on the brakes. Just loosen axle retaining bolts and pull.

so the axle retaining bolts are the same ones that hold the backing plates if i see things correctly

That's right, and one of the lower nuts will have a funny washer on it.. pay special attention to how it fits .. that's the axle bearing adjuster, and retainer..

i am going to the green bearing if i recall after the swap the the bearing adjustment goes away. so after the swap does this nut have any significance

there is a hole in the axle flange to fit a socket into and get the bolts out of the backing plates. Then the axles pull out. You're correct on the adjustment, no significance
