8 and 3/4 rear end question

If the flange isn't bent (no pic with that angle) I would clean it up, weld the crack if thats what it is and put 2 new green bearings in it. If not Post #20 and find a welder with a jig.

Hey my axle is leaking and flange is all fucked up? Where and what is all fucked up thats the mystery you all need to guess scratch head and try to figure out. Is it RTV on flange or a crack? No one really knows?? Its a stump the dummy exercise.

for all you olds out there that need to clean your thrifty readers or take a trip to the eye doctor...

Those pink circles just look like black silicone... guy need to clean it up then see how it really looks..

If it cleans up ok i would get rid of any thing standing up and go green bearings and run it.

P.S. clean up those nicks.. i got some in mine and cleaned them up also.. haven't had an issue.

P.P.S. when you put in the new axle seals make sure to pack the back with grease (where the spring is) or the spring will go TWANG... and fly off.. and you aren't getting it back in place.... guess how i learned that :)

Good evening y'all, I have this Chrysler 8 3/4 I have for my tea bucket I took it apart because I thought it was just the passenger side inner seal that was leaking. But when I took it off the bearing that goes around the shaft was loose and the inside of the housing was all fucked up. The pictures that show fluid leaking out is the passenger side and then the side that has none is the driver side. My question to you guys is this rear end fucked and if anybody else had this issue. I don't know s*** about this stuff when it comes to the rear ends and just hoping to get some knowledge from y'all. Also the inner seals were different colors I don't know if that makes any difference but I know the difference between a two-piece seal and a one-piece of course.

If you get a chance wire wheel/clean the flange and post another pic please.

That one pic makes it look like the bearing spun in the housing and somone has Brazed it to fix the bore. If properly done, machined concentricaly & shoulders are square, etc, it is a perfectly acceptable repair.
Yes clean & take better pics please.
