904 behind a 340

I have a barracuda with a 273/904 trans & was hoping to bolt a 340 straight in there, will it fit??

Yes. My Cousin has one bolted to his 340. Good luck..

Yes, I believe so , just have to change the flex plate
Welcome to this great site and I would give a good tec time to jump in here and give you advice, I am not sure but I think the motor mounts will have to be changed for a 340, but still,,, I am not 100% sure.
We have some great tec's here and I am not one of them

If your transmission is an original 67, the torque converter will have a small snout. The 340 crank will most likely have the large opening on the end of the crank - mismatch and will cause problems in the transmission. Solution - a spacer for the crank hole
