Hello Folks,

I have a 904 with A transgo TF-3 Full Manual Valve Body in it.

I recently Snapped a Driveshaft and as a result, Cracked my Bellhousing.
Because of all this I had to get a new 904 case..

I am in the process of swapping in the Internals from the busted case to the New case, and While I had everything apart I am trying to do some refreshing & upgrades.

I am planning to Get rid of the stock Parking Gear in favor of an A&A trans Aluminum Parking gear to shed a few pounds.. With my TF-3 Valvebody Instructions it tells me to Block the Rear oil passage to the Governor - So my question is can I remove the Actual Governor from the Output shaft to lighten the Mass of the Rotating Assembly even more?

Thanks for your help!

..................Yes, as long as u block the gov port...............kim........

Kim,

Yes I would be blocking the Small, Round Governor Port in the Trans Case above the Valve Body. It's The One Marked in the service Manual "Governor Pressure" Not the rectangular port Marked "to Governor"
