904 whine...

[MOPOWR 340]

This weekend my Duster developed a slight gear whine when accelerating from a stop. Can hear till about 15mph. Fluid is clean and full. Does not make any noise when idling in gear only on acceleration. Any ideas? ANy need for concern?

Don't know if this will help, but is your speedo cable and gear in good shape.

I have had problems before with both making a sound like what you describe at low speeds.

I checked both and after oiling the cable and re-seating the gear the noises went away.

It could just be planetary gear noise in first. Probably not a big deal but without hearing it it's hard to say.
