Can the 67-76 clutch pedal assembly's be used in an early a-body? I'd like to use one of the later clutch pedal assembly's if possible for the integrated clutch pedal "safety switch" bracket as well as possibly find what I understand to be a HD roller bearing clutch pedal version in the 340/383bb 4-speed cars.. Can anyone help me out here? Will a later pedal assembly fit, and if so, does anyone have one available? Thanks! Just to be sure I'm being as thorough as possible I mean everything included in the assembly from the actual pedals down to the bracket that hangs them and connects to the firewall and the dash. I'm also aware the later models had a different bolt pattern setup to mount the master and that is not a problem. Also, I would like to use the 67-up gas pedal in my 66 dart as well, does anyone have any experience with this they can share? Pictures?

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!

no such thing..slant six to 383 are all the same as in regards to 4 speed pedals.

Well, I hate to disagree with ya but there apparently were/are. Passon Performance sells specific bushings as well as a caged roller bearing for the clutch. Brewer's has the HD bushings AND roller bearing listed as well.. And here's a link from moparmuscle that discusses ALL of the 4 speed pedal assemblies and they even have a photo as well as mention the HD 67-up pedal version for the 340/383 bb cars.

http://www.moparmusclemagazine.com/...ler_four_speed_pedal_assemblies/photo_03.html

It has larger diameter bushings, a caged roller bearing for the clutch pedal, a larger assist spring, and a tin shield around the larger assist spring.

The proof is in the pudding?

I'm not trying to be difficult or anything but I am looking for someone who has some actual experience with the subject, whether they have put early pedals in a late car or vice versa. I know the pedals don't appear the same, but I could have sworn I read, either on this forum or another, that the pedals do interchange. I've been looking for a while now and haven't found anything so I was just hoping someone would have some actual experience with the swap. In regards to the actual pedal placement, if I remember correctly, the pedals should clear the column fine either way, it's just the the early A had the column in-between as opposed to the later a's tucking the brake pedal around the inside of the column.

Thanks for the responses, I do appreciate ANY help.

Just found some more info! (All single posts so no bad load times or anything 8) )

Check this link out.. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showpost.php?p=772358&postcount=4

And this one.. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showpost.php?p=211653&postcount=3

And proof of the HD pedal assembly.. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showpost.php?p=214769&postcount=4

..which appears to have the bottom of the brake pedal twisted flat where it mounts? I'm not sure I understand how this would be, or is, any stronger than mounted the way the "non-HD" pedals are. They don't put steel I-beams on their side do they? Anyhow.. This is all I have found, if anyone else has anymore information, PLEASE contribute!

Thanks again,
Ryan
