A body steering box change

I am thinking about changing my old duster manual steering box to a
flaming river steering box has any of you guys out their done this. is this a
bolt in with out doing any changes

It's only the idler that's expensive on the 67.

Looks like FR stuff uses normal small sector manual pitmans. Any of the decent moog, etc, other parts should work fine.
 
crackedback thanks, the 1970 duster front end has been all rebuilt. new ball joints, tie
rods, idler arm, pitman arm, upper and lower control arm bushings.
will all these new parts be compatable with bolting in a new FR box.

yes. they will work. I have the FR manual steering box, 16:1, 3 1/2 turns lock to lock. it is a bit stiffer to turn than a normal manual box. parking lots, slow speed turning takes getting used to, but i like it. feels solid, good road feel. just work out your forearms, youll be okay. im wondering if this steering box was the best choice for my application, which was handling/ aggressive cornering, as im not sure, need to drive it more. (new wiring job in process)
