Has anyone taken the factory under dash evaporator out of 72 Duster with all the vacuum hoses ( that don't work., hard to get to). And replaced with those from eBay. How much trouble, or some videos. Thanks

The vacuum hoses are on the "climate box". The evaporator is one part inside there. Others are the heater core and vent doors. Sounds like you have the vacuum-operated climate box which uses a 5-button switch. You can get parts to refurb that. Some cars came instead w/ manual controls (cables). Not sure about 1972, but probably not a smart swap anyway since some of the dash also changes, and why downgrade. You can get a complete after-market stand-alone climate box from companies like Vintage Air, but I think require some re-plumbing of the AC and heater hoses in the engine bay.
