Went to a few junkyards the first of last week with a friend. Thought i would post a few pictures. Also a few pictures from the road is of a junkyard that we could not go in. He had it posted to stay out! Looks to be huge from the road. We called him , he says that there was a rusted out-parted out hemi road runnner in the yard . Wants $15,000 for whats left. Also could see a 1969 charger with buckets and headrests. Looked like it was rusty and badly wrecked, he said $3,500 for it. So from the sounds of his prices he would be really high on his stuff. The reason he gave for not letting people in the yard is he said he was trying to sell it all together.

maybe this will work......

Here are a few pictures of the yard we did go in. He has a couple cars that he is going to sell the first is a 69 RM21 roadrunner for $1500.00 The second is a 70 roarunner 383 4 speed N96 car $1800.00 for it. Both have been in the yard for years, and have been parted, but now he has decided not to sell parts off them and to try to sell them complete as possible. A few pictures of some of the parts cars as well.

Some more pictures. Sad to see all of these old mopars, but maybe they can help put some back on the road.
BTW The last picture is a 67 fury 3 two door. 383 commando manual shift car.

The last yard we went to is set up as a pick a part in Sweetwater,Tn off of highway 11 toward Cleveland,TN. Anyone near by , that needs early a-body 4 speed parts, they have a 66 cuda with a 4 speed hump, and 66 model bucket seats complete, and a 65-66 valiant 4 door with cluth pedals in it. I am sure they would have a steering colum as well. Not that many 66-later A bodies, just one 72 duster. They charge a dallor to get in and look, seem to be well priced.

Looks like heaven to me! I love wondering around those old yards, never know what you might stumble across!!

im pretty sure that first yard was featured in a blog on freiburgersjunkyard.com if its the same yard, the guy apparently has over 800 cars and busloads of parts. its all for sale for a million plus.

Looks like allot of fun. I wish I was there.

Not sure the name of any of the yards went with a friend. The one in Sweetwater is off hwy.11

I'm in Rockwood, TN about 45 minutes from there. Never heard of those yards. We had one here in rockwood, about 40 mopars and a few school buses of Mopars only parts. The county made him scrap it all because it wasn't in a commerical zone. I'd love to see those.

wow awesome.....anyone know of any good ones in the tri state area?

You guys should be taking trim removal tools with you to those yards as most of those cars have the trim still on them and that will bring you some good$$$. Also you could turn in the bumpers for 20-30 dollars too!! Just my 2 cents but I see lost of easy money to be made there.
