We I still have to make some pushrod clearance on my valve cover spacers, clean up my valve covers, check my valve lash settings one more time, and my new valve cover gaskets will be here tomorrow. After I pull my 422 out I can transfer over my engine plate and 90 degree oil filter adapter and prime the oil system. Then it’s install time. Hopefully it will be running this week.

Judging by the offset rockers, these are your moved pushrod Edelbrocks? Are you going to dyno it or just track times?

And in this corner weighing in with a highly modified 408 small block Mopar it's Pittsburgh:thumbsup::usflag:... And in the other corner :wtf: well who really gives a s*** let's get ready to rumble!!

Nice!
I have zero doubts it will be impressive.
I enjoy these brief engine builds you have between your day job as a rocket scientist:thumbsup:

I forget; are you changing the transmission and/or torque converter, or the rear end gearing with this engine? The cylinder head modification thread you did was pretty cool. I am looking forward to see how it performs for you. Glad you are making progress.

My Indy headed 422 ran a 9.42 and my old 408 with my best set of Edelbrock heads before this set ran 9.74 best. That was a .030 block like this one but worn out from three previous rebuilds (and in need of its fourth). It had flat top pistons this one has domes. It had an 850 alcohol carb and although I may start out with the 850 will soon get a 1000 cfm carb. The same 5760 stall powerglide converter was just freshened but set up the same. I will probably do another post with more details.

Good luck when you run it , that is serious fast. you have done some amazing work on all your parts to get that kind of performance out of the car , congrats .
