A Male Fairy Tale

Before I got religion
I told my wife that when I got older, I was gonna cement a sword in the backyard pointy end up. Then when the time came, I was just gonna go out and lean on it until the pointy end came out the backside.
But then I thought to myself, a plastic bag and some zip-ties would be a lot less messy.
Of course that all changed in 93 when God got me! The thing is that before that day, I only had how my ancestors went, to go on. But afterwards, I figured out that it didn't have to be that way. So now, at 68, I am already older than many/most of them got to be, and while they had already been suffering, some for years, when the passed, I am still healthy and last week I chucked nearly 6000 pounds of garbage. So, there is a strong possibility that I'm gonna make it to the finish line and then just keel over when the spirit finally abandons me.
That's if the World lasts another 12 years, which I doubt.................
But as for the Prince in post #1;
IMO he's an idiot; the same kind of idiot I once was; placing far to much
importance on the most worthless things in life.

You can't take it with you, so why be a slave to it.
Possessions are just to enjoy for the ride.

I love the joke and I get to jest. I am on my third marriage and just celebrated our 10th anniversary. Trust me I often think of the scenario described in the joke and have lived that life between marriages , and though my current relationship has been far from smooth sailing the whole time I choose to share my life with someone that I love. As we get older more mature and less selfish we find that we're better together accomplish more and are just better people in general.and the fact that we love each other and I find her very hot well that's just icing on the cake

If it wasn't for my girl i have no doubt in my mind i would be dead in a ditch or locked up.

Having Her in my life has made it better in ways i could never have imagined and She is helping me "fix" things i never realized were broken.

That's one way, mine was to marry my girl 54 years ago and make a nice life with her supporting my car habit
and me supporting her endeavors as well. Right now I am on the hunt for take-off bumper cores for rechroming
for my latest build and she helps me remember my parts orders ordered and needed to order.
I won the wife lotto--------------------------:)
Congrats Rat. It's a great life when you find the right one and both have respect for each other. You don't have to have the same interests but if you do that's great. I love cars and my wife is an avid gardener and it works well but both willing to help each other. For example when I wax the cars my wife will help me because of my arthritis and if she needs something done in the garden she can't handle I get my neighbour to help LOL. Just kidding. We have a great relationship and wouldn't want it any other way.

My wife wasn’t happy about the money I spent on my Dart. When I was frustrated with it she never missed a chance to tell me to get rid of it. When I told her that there were lots of other gals at shows and meets , and that I would get an umbrella and she could lounge , read, have a cool drink and talk to other car “widows” she changed her tune.

not at all where i thought that was gonna go

I talked to my brother last night, he's on his second marriage. He said it's sad but it's not going to last. He said, "my right hand is getting tired of me"

Told me son when it's time I will go hunting.
Alone.
Not going into a facility to become a food, income source.
This always get me thinking also. I own a couple of Harleys and someone is always like "you can get kilt on those things" I said to the OL "which is worse riding a motorcycle and possibly going out quick by blunt force trauma or never riding ,never getting a chance to enjoy life and live and going out slow in an old age home..." :)

I knew a dude like that once. Had an awesome wife. Treated her like total ****. In the end, he poured gas on her in the front yard and almost lit her off. Thank God she finally divorced him. I met her, married her and we will have been married 27 years come this December. Not the end.

Dam , he musta been nuts !
or under the influence of something !

Did he reproduce? I really hope not!
I honestly think that a guy like that is a complete coward. He wouldn't treat a man like that because he'd get pounded. I you think woman are the weaker sex you are sadly mistaken. They instinctively know how to raise a family, every 28 days it feels like their whole insides are being ripped out and go through intense pain during childbirth. Then they have to put up with us assholes. That's a whole different story. If you think you can handle it then step up and we'll find out how you handle it. I have nothing but respect for them. But then they can be an even bigger asshole than us at times.

That was Fred DIY. He raised 8 kids after his wife passed. What an exceptional guy he is. Great morals as well. Can't help but like the guy.
I dont know if it because you guys both have a first and a last name as your screen name, or if you guys showed up at about the same time, but I tend to mix you two up from time to time
