Here are the before before pics... just made a deal on this one!
It's a slant 6 A/C car. How much weight difference is there between post and hard top? How scarce is the post model?

Nice find. Looks like the start of a tubbed pro streeter. toolmanmike

I think I'll make it look tough but keep the leaning tower of power for lots of cruising pleasure!

hey does that car not have a factory horn?? like im just judging by the steering wheel has no chrome half ring like my 68 dart

i don't know about the scarcity issue, but the post cars make better drag cars due to a little more structural stength due to the post. i think the post cars generally 'low line' cars so might be a little lighter as well.
cool find!

I'm guessing that is a low price wheel option on this car. Same wheel was in a 68 Coronet wagon I had...

Oh yeah I miss the slant powered Duster I sold bunches. I'll try and post pics of the severely burned 74 Duster donor car that provided the engine for this project soon....

How rare is a post car? Don't know, but I suspect more of them went to the cruncher than hardtops.

The 2dr posts always had more of a dragstrip look to them then the ht's. Lucky find. Howard

Hey that looks familiar! My car has a twin! lol I got one too but not a a/c car. Yours is much cleaner than mine. Im making a pro street or drag car out of mine so let me know if you need parts. Good luck
