MoBros:Here are a few photos of my next upcoming installment of Bob's Component Resto, Chapter 30: Engine Pull and Paint. The motor is out of Dusty and being painted. The exhaust manifold just returned from the ceramic coating shop and looks great. Please see the before and after photos of the manifold. The color that I used was "Tungsten", which is the closest that I could get to un-rusted natural iron. The manifold has the following date code on it:
J-17 73
I'll post a full chapter once everything is finished. Cheers!

PS as of 9/17/2022: Just added an updated photo of the painted motor with the ceramic coated exhaust manifold attached. The heat riser stove was also ceramic coated in black and will be added to the engine shortly. Chapter 30 is coming soon!

Nicely done!
Thanks, all, for the nice comments. Is anyone out there up on date codes, who would know what "J-17" decodes as? Or do you have access to a database that could tell what the part number 3671862 is for? I'm not sure this is the factory original exhaust manifold. Just curious. Ideas?

cruiser, you said "The color that I used was "Tungsten",
What brand did you end up going with?
John.

Following.

What was the brand for the ohm device for the gas gauge you used? Mine is working but it's off obviously with new gauge and sending unit
