Well, after enjoying the Demon all summer after finishing it in the spring, I put it away for the winter. It was a very heartbreaking experience for the first time. I don't know how you guy's can do this every year.

It is starting to dawn on me that this will give me time to make some upgrades to it. ie: stainless braided lines everywhere, adjust the exhaust so I don't get that annoying little tapping when I'm at idle and some other little things.

I guess May isn't that far away. sob sob

I'm just going to have to go out and shoot a buck. LOL

Jack

My condolances Jack, I am not at this stage yet but the thought does cross my mind how hard this would be. May can be a long ways away in New Brunswick!

Why so early in the season? I don't put mine away until the first time they salt the roads.

I don't put my Valiant away at all anymore. I can't.

It sat in a garage for 3 years until I lost my garage. Now it's the daily driver.

I get sad when I see it get rained on though. But then I remember it's a car.

(adj) valiant, valorous (having or showing valor) "a valiant attempt to prevent the hijack"; "a valiant soldier".

That's the problem. Up here they can start salting the roads at anytime. I know your not that far away as far as miles go, but our weather is much different than yours. We had ice in the dog dish a couple of times now.
Besides, it is now time to do my first hobby of choice, HUNTING, woohoo!

Marvin, how is the Dart coming along? Any pics you can send me? My email is below.

Jack I haven't seen the inside of my garage since the baby was born on August 31. Right now it is in bare metal, tail panel welded in and the front clip sitting on the garage floor, and I have a complete floor mostly stripped down on the saw horses. The wife wants her side of the garage back for winter so I have to get at building the front clip soon. I should be able to use a good portion of the one from my parts car as a start so that will help. Good luck with landing the big buck! I haven't hunted for probably 20 years!

Hay Jack!! Go get you a big buck and draw some blood and it will be ok.
The great out doors are waiting on you, and Canada has the most to offer you.
I remember talking about how everyone puts there car in hibernation.
Do you get the tires off the ground and run all the gas out of it?
Or do you fill the tank all the way up? Or just drain the carb?
We have had rain for the last five days"witch we do need" at 45 deg this morning and highs about 65 deg. I wish I could send this rain to Calif.
Keep us updated on the time you get to go hunting Jack.

Something tells me you will be drawing blood soon.:colors:
Do yall shoot any Coyot's up there.?
Be careful they sure are smart hunters.

Hey Mike,

I will be leaving the tires on as I will be moving it once in a while as I work on it. The gas tank is half full and I will run the car for 1/2 hour at a time once a month. I am going hunting this afternoon. First few times it is just to get used to it again. I won't get serious about it for another week and a half. I shoot every Coyote I see. That's how I got the Nickname.

Jack

To bad Jack but at least you will be able to work on it over the winter.
I'm gonna drive my Duster beater until the first snow, you seen my driveway there is no way i would get back up with after it snows!

I feel sorry for you Terry. I always thought our weather was crazy until I lived out near Red Deer for a while.

Jack

Yea, it's even worse down here, it went from a chinook wind and plus 15 to zero and a cold north wind in about 4 hrs.

Thanks Terry - I needed that - just before heading back to Calgary this afternoon.

We're waiting for the snow, but today is going to 19°C! Think I might have to go out on a uhhh... "service call" this afternoon.

We have the 5th whl almost packed, and will be heading for Arizona for the Winter. My Swinger is still in the project phase, sitting in my garage. I hate to leave it, as It's getting close to finished. The sacrifice must be made however. Howard, Renton Wa (finally quit raining).

IT to bad you guys have to put the cars away for the winter here on the coast we will get a day every so often that we can dirve the hot rods makes it nice after you done work to see if it helped AS FOR YOU HUNTERS PLEASE COME TO MY BACK YARD HAD 4 DOE AND 3 BUCKS (SPIKE 3 POINT 4 POINT WESTERN COUNT ONE SIDE ONLY) EATING ALL MY LANDSCAPING AND THE LITTLE OLD LADIES FEED THEM ALSO WISH I LIKED DEER MEAT

It's just starting to dip into the 30's at night around here. Last Sunday it was 80 degrees. I am storing the GSS in a new pole barn this year. It will have good company, sitting next to a 67 383 Formula S and a 72 Scamp. I figure it needs to go into storage within the next couple weeks, to avoid the rain. I will visit it once a month, but won't be doing any work on it this winter, too many othee projects, plus the wife is due withour second duaghter in December.

Same here Jack, they stay in season.
I knew it!I knew it!! You old Veteran.=D>
I like tracking and getting my legs under me and do the planning for the hunt,
And getting my wits and eyes to remember what I see and what is around me. And if there will be another hunter close buy you will most likely see him or his pathway.

Have a great hunt Coyote Jack!!! Looking forward to this years time in the wood's and away from the the house and fresh air.:colors:

The day you take it out again it's like a rebirth! It's like it's a new car, all over again!

Last year I winterized my garage a bit and installed a 220V heater, so I can work on it over the winter, but sadly my car was accidented recently so it might not be here to work on...:(

What's that white stuff on the barbe q? Just kidding. If we want snow we have to go to the mountains to get it. Big Bear is the closest to us down here in SoCal

Yea, we're right up against the mountains so we get the white stuff. Noticed you're in southern california, hopefully not to close to the fires. God, I just pulled up Whittier on the map program and you're right in the middle of it. Hope everything is alright.
