Hoping someone can help with this. Have an A833 I want to sell but it's lacking some typical attributes. Cannot find ID pad on passenger side. The biggest discrepancy is it has a vent on top. Do not recall having one on my previously installed unit. Want to properly ID the transmission before I sell it.

You need to take the side-cover off and inspect the gears condition, find out what else is missing, and identify which gears-set is in there.
After 50+ years anything could be in there, the stamped #s aren't reliable.
I have changed the guts out of many broken cases, for whatever good case is on my stack.
Gear ID is here, at Brewers half way down page.
Good luck.

It's for an A-body (rearward shifter location) and has a yoke type extension housing.
If it doesn't have an identification pad on the pass.side, I think that it's a '66 or '67 A833.
Probably the same than mine :
Can you ID this Mopar gearbox?

I didn't know nothing about gearboxes and what I had, but thanks to the forum members, now I know :)

66-67 up A-Body A833. No vin pad till after 1967. Check the casting # on the tailshaft housing with the Brewers site for probable output spline count.
