I may sound crazy but I just checked the one I have and it's a 29 spline and diameter of 1.27 to 1.28? Please help cause I don't know what slip yoke I need

need a lot more info.
I bought the car with this transmission and my understanding is there is only one size shaft and slip yoke diameter on a A904 transmission, I am new to Mopar cars so let me know what info you might need to know and maybe I can help you help me. The motor and transmission are not from this car that's all the guy could tell me when I bought it.

73 duster but I don't know if this transmission is from this car or another one like it.
Here's my problem, and this is not your problem whatsoever. I get my values a lot from the original movie The Godfather. So when someone ask me for a favor without even offering their hand in friendship or a cup of coffee (The Godfather would consider this a gesture more so than a monetary thing) I'm not real hopping eager to help. There's a section on here for newcomers to kind of introduce yourself to The Forum. This is a place you can say hello and post some pictures of your car kind of tell everybody what you have and what you know about it and what your aspirations are for it and what your current problem is now. That gives everybody the opportunity to see what you're working on to know where you're at and what you're working on and introduce themselves to you too.
So now the car being a 73 has nothing to do with the slip yoke as you said that it's not the original motor/trans.
You simply need a 29 spline slip yoke for your 29 spline output shaft of your transmission. If you're looking for someone who has experience that's and I have very little I can tell you that this is the common mopar slip yoke size.

From what you are telling us you have a 73 duster, and you know (For sure???) that you have a 904 trans (find all the numbers on the trans and date codes etc, Photos are great too) you are looking for a drive shaft ("one size shaft" ) and slip yoke.

What rear end do you have? 7 1/4, 8 1/4, 8 3/4, something else? (Mopar Casting Numbers - MyMopar.com - Mopar Part Numners)
As for slip yokes for a 904 (which I know almost nothing about in detail) I understand that there are different lengths (someone correct me if I'm wrong)
Is the engine and trans installed in the car now?
what engine is in the car?
What are you planning to do with the car?
PHOTOS PHOTOS PHOTOS.

I have a904 slip yoke it does not fit the tail shaft, is it possible that this transmission has been rebuilt and now has a larger shaft? The transmission is installed in the car currently I will see what numbers I can find on it and maybe get a picture.
Get a photo of the pan, easiest to identify. I have a 904 driveshaft in my truck, picked it up a week ago.

Take a look and pick one...

I took the measurements of the one I installed in the car is 34 5/8" and the known 727 that I have is 35" so I have a short shaft and a long shaft 727 that's, what I get for assuming the smaller was a a904 like the guy told me when I bought it.
