I have a dash wire harness out of a '70-'72 Plymouth and I have been asked this question time and again "AC or non-AC?"

It came out a barn, the car was crushed likely before I was even born (I am 20). How do I tell the difference between an AC and non-AC dash harness on a '70-'72 Plymouth Valiant/Duster?

Someone may answer this off the cuff but I would have to look at the wiring diagram in the 1972 factory manual which will clearly show you the difference. I do know the factory diagrams on line won't show the a/c car wiring. Sorry I'm not more help.

Download a factory manual here, both 70, 71, and 72 available

However, AC wiring is not what I'd call "well documented" Refer to the AC chapter in the back of the manual

I would not bet money that any two of the the three years are the same.

You should be able to tell by ID'ing the colors to and find the dash control connector. Without looking it up, I think the non AC fan control only has three wires.
