Ac Water Valve

Hey guys, I was at the Nats. last weekend and I noticed that the a-body cars with ac had a watervalve on them. My 67 barracuda is a factory ac car but it has no valve or holes for one. Should I be looking for one or did some cars not require them?

do you mean a valve on one of the heater hoses??
Wasnt necesarily required as the heat can be controlled by either a valve (allows coolant to flow thorugh the heater core when heat is selected) or by a flapper in the heater box (directs the heat where you want it)...

You can always put a manual valve in the heater hose too.

1/2" copper/brass gate valve with threaded ends, and
1/2" plastic ribbed nipples works great.
