Hello
I purchased a new pedal for my 65 barracuda, the old one is different and the holes were vertical with a bracket that was rusted out and split. I am just wondering if anyone has drilled a couple holes horizontal and installed the different pedal? I can’t seem to find a new bracket but I do see I can source the proper pedal…

Does anyone know who would sell these proper brackets? Kinda stuck here, should I just install the other style pedal?
Thx!

Is your new pedal for a six cylinder? Or something else? Doesn't look like a 65 V8 pedal to me.

PS: you made the bracket for your original pedal? Slick. . . .

It’s a AV2 setup, 273 v8 car but made in Canada. The dash is a 65 dart dash but I believe this linkage was used on all AV2 cars, that’s what my manual says anyways.

Well, that's a new on on me. But the older I get, the more I'm finding out how much I don't know.
Seems my Canadian car stuck true to its valiant roots, I am still learning about this car.
In 1965, the Plymouth Belvedere, Satellite, and Valiant models were designated as the AV2 model. Specifically, the Belvedere I, Belvedere II, Satellite, and Valiant (including the Valiant Signet) were part of the AV2 model designation. The Barracuda was a separate model line and was not part of the AV2 designation.

I guess you could say this Canadian built 65 barracuda is kind of a Heinz 57, lol! I am finding out the differences more and more each time I work on something or have to order a part… I guess it just ads to the uniqueness of the vehicle though.

If anyone else ever needs one of these floor mounting brackets, I found one and ordered, hopefully it arrive in the next week or two but for now I will use what I made. Kinda crazy they are only available in Australia…
