I just had to post that I am really excited to have received a new Hi-Po Single Exhaust System as stock replacement for my '67 Barracuda 273 Commando!

This appears to be a really nice re-creation of the well thought out stock system with an improved collector, aluminized pipe, and your choice of stock, or (my choice) their own custom made stainless muffler! All made in Roseberg Oregon, USA.

The system also includes the resonator, but my car happened to have one already, so that was held out and price discounted accordingly. Also included are all clamps and hangers.

I have no association with Accurate other than having bought their system, just wanted to share this information having found little about the very interesting hi-po single system on this forum.

It will be a little while before I can install the system, but will post as soon as I know more!

Meanwhile, here's a quick video from the Accurate site so you can hear the system for yourself! This clip features the custom stainless muffler with resonator, P.S. you can hear the Commando solid lifters rattling too, enjoy!

I just looked at their website- Their /6 exhaust is priced less than the quote I got from the super skeezy muffler shop here in East Funkytown. And no sales tax in OR!

I have several TTI equipped cars, but for my 63 Valiant slant six, I went with Accurate's 2.25 inch system with hi-po muffler. Everything fit great, and while still pretty quiet, it has a nice tone that's a huge improvement over the asthmatic sounding 2-inch muffler shop system I had on it before.

Always like these cars with this set up, especially 4 speed cars!!!

That sounds amazing! That's the route I'm considering with my 65 Valiant 273 with planned commando-ish mods (currently stock 2 bbl carb).

I installed my Accurate LTD system over Labor Day weekend, last September, then took the Barracuda for a 500 mile cruise which included "The Rod Run To The End Of The World" in Long Beach WA.

Overall. The system is great, very thick aluminized pipe, with nice hangers. It fit pretty good, but not as quick as their video would indicate, where the girl does it (on a lift) in just an hour or two, lol!

On my '67 convert, I had to trim out about 2" of excess from the tail pipe, at the muffler outlet (working on my back, with jack stands). I may have taken a bit out from the main pipe at the muffler inlet as well...

The stainless muffler was beautiful, but I found that the outboard rear corner interfered with the frame, and I had to rotate it downward at that point to provide clearance.

Photos from their own website show mufflers that have that corner removed, apparently that's the "stock" version of muffler.

If I were more thorough, I would exchange that muffler for one with the corner trimmed off, but I decided resist my anal tendancies and just to go with what they sent me...mounted crooked.

The head pipe fit great, and the heavy gauge pipe really made for a solid system. It is a little quiet too as others have said, but with a really nice tone.

In my opinion, I'd say it's a great system, and I am very happy with it, just needs the stock muffler option, as opposed to the fancy one I chose, that didn't fit, at least it didn't fit for me...

I have one on my 66 Formula S. I had them make a straight thru muffler since that's what I had on my 64 Barracuda. That sounds right.

I have the complete system on my 67 barracuda convertible, love the sound and quality . Have had it for over 2 years now and no problem at all, highly recommend system.
